Luca is a guitar player and composer from Rome, active in contemporary jazz and contemporary classical music. He recorded all his albums as a leader in NYC, where he has been given the US Artist Visa, receiving reviews from important magazines (Jazzwise, Downbeat, Jazz it..) and performed his music in many festival and venues in USA and Europe (Small’s Jazz Club, Casa del Jazz, Blue Note, Warsaw Summer Jazz Days, Yardbird Suite). He’s the first electric guitar of Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble, having premiered the music of such great composers as Steve Reich, Frank Zappa, Jacob TV, Fausto Romitelli, John Adams etc. and performed in the main italian and international festivals (Biennale Musica, Ars Musica, Accademia Santa Cecilia, Teatro del Maio Musicale, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma He has been the curator of Sing the Body Electric, a series of concerts about electric guitar at Ravenna Festival. As a composer and soundesigner he collaborated with many visual artists and directors, his music for the docufilm Silencio by Attilio Bolzoni has been performed in venues like Auditorium Parco della Musica and Teatro Massimo di Palermo, while the film got around 1.000.000 viewers on the web. He composed and performed the music for Shakespeare’s King Lear directed by iorgio BArberio Corsetti and starred by Ennio Fantastichini.. Download here my full Bio!
